My Style of Working

COLLABORATIVE

I thrive when I’m leading the end-to-end design process in a cross-functional team, working closely with engineers, product managers and content creators. I share my work early and often to get feedback in order to make continuous improvements and arrive at the desired final product.

DILLIGENT

I take every project seriously no matter the size. I take pride in the quality of my work. Any project assigned to me is produced at the highest level and within the timeline provided.

FASTIDIOUS

I successfully work iteratively on multiple projects in a fast-paced agile environment. I am a self-starter who sees the big picture but also sweats the small details.

Few Highlights

ORIGINATING & evolving A PREMIUM HEALTH BRAND

Verywell

I originated the brand and site experience of Dotdash’s first stand-alone property known as Verywell, which launched in April 2016. Since then, I’ve spearheaded the evolution of the family of Verywell sites over the course of the last six years. I have designed every single template, interaction, and experience users have on Verywell Health, Verywell Family, Verywell Mind and Verywell Fit

ORIGINATING A NEW HOME BRAND

The Spruce

I led the designs of The Spruce brand which launched in February 2017. Since the origination of this brand, the design has been overhauled but the underlying site structure still remains. The original design as it was applied can still be experienced on The Spruce Eats. This design was a labor of love which came into existence in just 3.5 months. Learn how it was done.

REDESIGNING TO ELEVATE a fitness brand

Verywell Fit

The original site experience of Verywell Fit was born from duplicating the attributes of the parent brand Verywell Health. This muddied the experience for its intended target audience who were looking for actionable advice on diet and fitness. A brand redesign became critical to fix this problem and I was once again tasked with leading this effort to create a fitness brand that appeared more energetic and confident to its readers.

Building a podcast brand

The Verywell Mind Podcast

Verywell Mind was going to have its first ever podcast. It needed a visual presence the brand could own and that would help it stand out in the crowded health podcast space. The team only requested the Podcast cover art, but I quickly advised them that they needed a deeper brand experience. I instead delivered an entire brand kit that would support and scale the broader application and marketing of this podcast. The brand kit and visual templates I originated continue to reach its audience today.
