Feature Enhancements

As a senior designer on the Macy’s Enhancements Team, I took on many feature updates for Macy’s online shoppers. My first task after joining the team was to declutter and simplify the header/footer of the site to make way finding easier for shoppers. The website at the time was suffering from congestion and the business was afraid to make users scroll so everything had to be ‘above the fold’—a problem we overcame eventually after user-testing. Other projects I took on were to add a TrueFit size selector feature to help shoppers with their correct size selection based on their fit preferences entered in the initial TrueFit interaction. In addition to this, I worked with the team to add new features to the site such as faceted search, better checkout experience and online order returns experience which did not exist before.
